There are many schools and training programs available for Billing and Coding certification and we will do our best to review each one. Billing Coding Online is going to be a comprehensive review library for all of the major Billing & Coding Companies advertised online. The first that we are going to look at is Blackstone Career Institute which is based in Allentown, PA. The course description and details seem to cover the main topics that you will need to know for a successful career in medical billing and coding. The key is to look at cost and how long the program actually is. It will not include a certification by the AAPC which is recommended for coders but it will include a medical billing & coding certificate as issued by Blackstone.
It is an billing coding online program developed and administered by coding and billing professionals. The only possible problem that I have identified is the lack of a Full-Time coding and billing certified professional. I have been unable to determine who the program director is for Medical Billing and Coding which is a scary thing considering how involved someone should be in keeping the content and instruction current and applicable for a career in medical billing and/or medical coding. The rules and regulations surrounding medical billing and coding is changing every year and requires continual medical education to stay current.
If you consider using this program make sure that you find out who your instructor is and what his/her medical billing and coding credentials are. They should have many years of real experience and have certifications from the AAPC.

We will have much more coding certification reviews in the very near future. There are thousands of billing coding schools in the country but you must review carefully before making a decision.
